From cassava harvest to industrial value
The Aligo Energies Cassava Refinery Complex is a phased development designed to convert cassava into industrial raw materials for food, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and renewable energy industries.
Situated within Nigeria's major cassava-producing belt in Abúlé Àrè, Alamala, Abeokuta, the project is positioned to maximise raw material availability while reducing logistics costs.
Discuss the projectPhase One
2026 to 2028
Industrial dried cassava chips facility
The foundation phase sets up a standardised supply of industrial-grade dried cassava chips for ethanol producers, animal-feed manufacturers and export markets.
- 220 MTof fresh cassava processed daily
- 16,200 MTapproximate annual production
Target markets
Phase Two
After 2028
Expansion into higher-value derivatives
Building on Phase One's infrastructure and operating experience, the next stage widens the product range into more industrial and export opportunities.
Phase Two is a future expansion stage. Product mix, timing and capacity depend on project development and investment decisions.
What Phase 1 includes
A complete production, power and logistics platform
Complete drying line
The core production system, turning fresh cassava into high-grade dried chips for industry and export.
Quality assurance
Two moisture content analysers give real-time checks against buyer specifications.
Power independence
Two industrial generators keep operations running whatever the grid supply.
CNG energy infrastructure
Two tube bundles and a pressure reduction system to improve fuel efficiency and cut operating costs.
Logistics and handling fleet
A payloader, weighbridge, five tractor heads, four semi-trailers and three flatbed trailers, moving cassava from farm to plant to buyer.
Operating system
A lean Odoo and Microsoft 365 setup for governance, traceability and accountability.
